Camp Life
The last elimination went really smoothly, with only a couple of minor hiccups. Somehow, Courtney thought that it was James pulling the strings to get her voted out, which is pretty silly really. I think things got sorted out, but it definitely got people looking at James. A few of the votes were also a bit strange, but I think I've worked out the breakdown. Erinn voted for James, Courtney voted for Jenna, Amber and Eliza voted for Charlie, and everyone else voted for Courtney.
This round is going to be a hell of a lot trickier. Right now, there has been a line drawn in the sand. On the one side, you have Tom and James; on the other, you have Jenna leading, with the other original Purago girls and Christa following close behind.
Ultimately, it will be up to Jaime, Charlie, Brooke, Ryan, and I to pick a side and determine who takes control. The only one who I have not included in this equation is Aras. Originally, I figured he was in Tom's back pocket, but I have since discovered he is also in with Jenna. It looks like he is playing both sides, and as it stands right now, I don't have the slightest idea which side he is truly loyal to.
When it comes down to it, it seems this round is all about Jenna. She's the one rallying troops, making promises, pointing fingers, and pretty much setting the tone of the game. Her and I had quite a long chat, and her intentions became a bit clearer. Let me pull up a few bits and pieces of our conversation (I've cut out most of the unimportant details)...
So this is what Jenna claims is her ideal pecking order...
Okay, let me make a few interesting observations...First, Jenna claims that she wants Christa and I to sit in the final three with her, instead of Amber and Aras (her original alliance). If she's willing to screw over people she's been working with since day one, what on earth would keep her from doing the same thing to me? Second, the list she gave me includes having four original Purago in the final seven...yeah, that's not okay with me. Finally, she has put a ton of faith in Aras and Christa (two people that were not in her original tribe). I am willing to bet she knows both of these players from previous games, and that is something I can not compete with.
If I choose, I can certainly use this pecking order against Jenna, I just need to really sit down and decide whether I should stick with her or Tom. Both ends have their pros and cons, and when it really comes down to it, I don't trust either one of them. What am I going to do!?
As of right now, Tom seems oblivious to Jenna's "master plan", because when I asked him about our upcoming tribal council, he named Charlie of all people to eliminate. I don't think he realizes that if a couple more of these original Purago's don't go home, we could all be doomed.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I found a Hidden Immunity Idol! I have not told anyone about it yet, but I have a feeling that the first time I don't win immunity in a challenge, I may have to whip this sucker out; being a challenge threat may be the end of me if I'm not careful.
Challenge
A little birdie told me that the host was most likely going to use those "feast" photographs in a future challenge, so I decided to download them onto my computer. Apparently, the birdie was correct. ;D
I decided to give my second immunity to Jaime. Right now, I am on the fence about whether to settle down with Tom or Jenna, so I couldn't pick anyone from either side of that nonsense. Jaime is sitting right in the middle with me, so it seemed to be the safest way to go.
I did see Brooke's precious little post in the challenge thread, something along the lines of, "Oh well everyone knows that you are aligned with Jaime now lol". I'm surprised she had the balls to say something so bold in a public forum, but it wasn't long before she deleted it, silly girl.
Tribal Council
Jenna wants James out, Tom apparently wants Charlie out, and I don't have the slightest idea what to do. I'm going to update this thread as things develop; there's a few people that can help me decide which way is going to be the best in the long term.
General Thoughts
There are three potential power-players that have emerged in Majuro. Either Tom, Jenna, or Christa are going to ultimately run things here in Emankora. What is fascinating to me though, is each of them seem to play this game completely differently.
Jenna's game centers around chaos. She reminds me of one of the townspeople in the Salem Witch Hunt. She will throw a name out there, attaching some crazy story as to why they need to get eliminated, and then watch as people run around like chickens with their heads cut off. I suppose her mentality is to keep everyone unorganized and paranoid, so we eat each other alive as she rises up.
Tom is completely the opposite. His strategy is based on the long term. He has a very clear image of his goal, and will position himself in exactly the right place to succeed. his moves are careful, calculated, and deliberate. Unfortunately, I think he may be underestimating his competition.
Christa's strategy is a lot more subtle. She has the intelligence, willpower, and patience to play the game like a fly on the wall. She makes powerful friends early on, then sits back in the shadows until it is her time to strike. I am willing to bet she won't have to lift a finger until the final seven; she'll just ride the waves and wait for the other power-players to murder each other, and then she'll pick up the pieces and take complete control.
After seeing each of these players' approach to the game, it's got me thinking about how I am playing. I've decided I am the "over-achieving amateur". I overplay the challenges, I overthink my strategy, and I am going overboard with my social game. This makes me the most obvious threat in the game, but luckily, I'm not too naive to realize it. Me getting to the end is going to take a lot of hard work, and a fair bit of luck, but I am going to give it my best shot!

Jenna (9:38:04 PM): And I am ready to vote out James
Jenna (9:38:12 PM): I think the numbers will quickly fall into place
Ozzy (9:38:38 PM): i have no clue how everyone is linked together, so i'm not sure about the numbers
Ozzy (9:38:54 PM): u think the original purago girls will vote james?
Jenna (9:38:59 PM): Yes.
Jenna (9:39:03 PM): Im next to positive
Ozzy (9:39:08 PM): well thats a start!
Jenna (9:39:22 PM): You see, I have strong connections with 6 people right now
Jenna (9:40:34 PM): I've gotten the thumbs up from you christa amber aras eliza and erinn on James
Ozzy (9:43:16 PM): so what would you like to see happen?
Jenna (9:43:25 PM): I would like to see us the final 7
Jenna (9:43:39 PM): Then eliminate Eliza and Erinn respectively
Jenna (9:43:41 PM): Then Aras
Jenna (9:43:43 PM): then amber
Jenna (9:43:55 PM): But idk how strong you are with anyone besides Christa and I
Jenna (9:44:17 PM): who I do want to be the final 3. And I haven't said that to anyone else.
Jenna (9:46:13 PM): So james goes. Then Tom. Then Brooke. Then Charlie. Then Ryan O. Then Jaime.
Jenna (9:46:26 PM): Now that order doesn't need to be steadfast.
Jenna (9:46:39 PM): but that would be a good basic approach i think
