Round Six (Kalin) Camp Life So we all log in to do the challenge, and find out we're in new tribes! I ended up with Jaime over on Kalin, so I reckon it wasn't all bad. Eliza and Erinn from Purago also joined us, so I was pretty excited to get to know them! Tom was the only original Kalin to actually stay on his tribe, so he made the fifth and final member of our group. I was somewhat relieved, because Tom and I had talked before this tribal shuffle, and we hit it off pretty good. As soon as I read about the mix-up, I immediately had a chat with him, making sure we were still interested in working together. He told me he was definitely on board, so all in all, I felt pretty confident in the group. However, after a while, he approached me about working with Erinn of all people. Apparently, he had a wonderful little chat with her, and now wants her on his side. Tom then went on to say that it gives us the choice of eliminating Jaime or Eliza if we ended up in Tribal Council. Of course, I have no intention on voting out Jaime, and if Tom really does want to work with Erinn, I doubt she would be willing to vote out Eliza. Challenge I could tell right from the start, that this "hot potato" Challenge was going to come down to dumb luck. Personally, I wanted Purago to be the other tribe to win immunity other than mine, and it just so happened to work out that way. The only reason I wanted Purago to win with us, is because Christa was on that tribe, and I did not want her to be in jeopardy. When it came down to it, I didn't have much of a say as to which tribes were going to win, but things fell in place and Kalin and Purago took home the win. Tribal Council Everyone knew that Kelly would be the one to get eliminated over on Tomonaka. She basically dropped out of the game a week ago, and hasn't logged back in since. She told me something about being sick, but I have seen her on AIM plenty of times, she just never felt the need or desire to check out Majuro. I really did get along with her, but there's not much reason to try keeping someone around that doesn't want to be here. General Thoughts So yeah, this new tribe breakdown really did make me nervous. I had to put all of my faith in Tom, and I know he's the type of guy that will play deceptively if he feels it will get him further in the game. Luckily, these tribes only lasted about ten minutes... |
Round Seven (Emankora) Camp Life A fourteen man merge, insanity! This is pretty much the worst thing that could have happened to me right now. With so many people still in the game, people will find any reason to get the target off of themselves and onto somebody else. Me, being a pretty big challenge threat, would be an obvious person to eliminate. Let me tell you, this got me scurrying around like a little mouse, trying to figure out what the heck to do. Out of necessity, I first approached Tom. I know he has a lot of pull in this game, and if I want any chance at survival, I'm going to need him on my side, at least for now. I refreshed my relationship with my original tribemates (Christa, Charlie, Jaime, and Brooke). They all sound pretty willing to continue working with me. Tom told me he would be able to pull Aras and James into our circle, since he worked with them back in original Kalin. I've never talked to those guys, so I'm going to have to trust that Tom really can use them to our benefit. This pretty much leaves the original Purago girls. I met Eliza when we ended up in Kalin together; and she was almost impossible to talk to. She reminded me a lot of Brooke, only giving one or two word replies to anything I said to her. This makes me think that she is either really bad at the social game, or she just doesn't want anything to do with me. Either way, it makes it difficult for me to work with her. Erinn was also in Kalin with me, but I still haven't talked to her, except for a silly little private message that she sent to everyone in that tribe. Tom still insists that he can work with her, but I get the feeling they maybe have a previous relationship, which makes me nervous. Amber and Jenna are the big question marks for me from original Purago. They have both talked to me in the past about potentially working together, but I have not spoken to either of them lately. Christa said that she has a connection with Jenna, so I'm going to let her take care of that. As far as Amber, I will try talking to her some more, and see where her head is at. The only two people that leaves in this gigantic merge is Courtney and Ryan. I have never talked to Courtney, I have never heard anyone else talk about Courtney, so I get the feeling she has just been slipping through the cracks. Ryan, on the other hand, was going to be the next person eliminated on original Kalin. I assume that he was alligned with Boston Rob, so by default, he would have been next to go. This makes him vulnerable in the game, so I'd definitely like to see if I can scoop him up. Challenge More disk smashing!! This one was a heck of a lot more sensitive than the last one; everyone was being extremely careful about who they should smash or not. I decided to sit back for a while, to see what the others would do. When James eventually smashed one of mine, I stepped in and took him out immediately. It was then a matter of working down the rest of the disks, until the only ones remaining were people that were actually participating in the challenge. Unfortunately, this was a lot of original Tomonaka, so I'm sure that got some heads turning. In the end, Brooke let me win, so I won the first Individual Immunity (as if I'm not already seen as potentially the biggest challenge threat, ugh). The twist was definitely a surprise, but there was no way I was going to make a statement with it, so I just handed the second immunity over to the second place person in the challenge, Brooke. Tribal Council Everyone is terrified to name a target right now; because nobody is exactly sure about who is working with who at this point. Since I am holding Immunity, and can't have the tables turned on me this round, I decided to throw Courtney's name out there. Out of everyone, she seems to be the easiest one to eliminate, without upsetting too many people. The only other people I see that could be in jeopardy this round are Jaime, Ryan, Jenna, or Christa. If people really are nervous about original Tomonaka, they could try pulling numbers to eliminate either Jaime or Christa. I think it would be easiest for them to get the numbers for Jaime, but I sure hope not. Jenna and Ryan could be in trouble simply because they might be on the outside of a bigger group. Jenna, I believe, was close with Parvati; and that obviously didn't work out well on their original tribe. Same with Ryan, he ended up on the outside of his original tribe. If more develops as far as the votes go, I will update this thread. General Thoughts Me being a challenge threat is the one thing that can ultimately be my downfall. I am going to do my best to build up more of a social and strategic game to keep my butt safe, but it is really early right now, and for all I know, we could get split up into tribes again. |
